Filby in Bloom faced 2006 with optimism although it proved to be a real challenge to maintain the level of commitment and innovation. Our success over the past few years probably meant that the Judges were also looking at our efforts with ever more critical eyes and our fellow competitors were trying even harder to beat us.
We entered Anglia in Bloom 2006 and judging took place on Thursday 13th July from 10.00 a.m.
Despite winning another Gold Award last year, and a very nice trophy, we were, again, not put forward for Britain in Bloom.

The Judges for 2006 visited, as expected, on Thursday 13th July 2006 between 10.00 and 11.30 a.m.
They came, they saw, they went away to deliberate.

Filby wins Best Village 2006
For the seventh year in a row Filby has won the Best Village category in Anglia in Bloom.
This is cheering news for the residents and volunteers alike especially following the trail of wanton destruction which hit the display in August.
